Noob questions

Postby HSmith » Wed Mar 21, 2012 3:27 pm

A couple of Noob questions.

1) Is there any class that is easier to play at first?

2) Are there any skills that are considered must haves?

3) Which quests should be done first?

Sorry for being noobish, but with the tech difficulties I am anxious to climb aboard.
The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once.

You always start off with a Miranda-class, which you can customize.

1) Not really. Just pick a class you like. The abilities are different, depending on the class. Just make sure you pick crewmembers with the other classes, to fill out the ship's abilities. (In this case, "class" refers to your character's specialization.)

2) Must-have skills depend on what you want to do and what kit you have. All I can suggest is that you experiment and find what works for you.

3) I'd play through the episodes before doing anything else. That'll teach you the basics.

And Cam is right, you always start with a Miranda, which you can customize at Spacedock. As you progress through the ranks, you can requisition bigger and better ships.

Another thing I would suggest is to upgrade your weapons and consoles as quickly as you can. Some are dropped by defeated enemies (those glowing things) or can be bought or crafted at Memory Alpha.
